Students who are pursuing studies in this state leading to\n\nan associate or baccalaureate degree or who are pursuing studies in\n\na postsecondary vocational-technical program or course offered\n\npursuant to a duly approved cooperative agreement between an area\n\nvocational-technical school and an institution of The Oklahoma State\n\nSystem of Higher Education, and who are in good academic standing in\n\nthe institution of higher education or vocational-technical school\n\nin which enrolled, shall be eligible for a waiver of:\n\n1. Undergraduate resident tuition at institutions within The\n\nOklahoma State System of Higher Education. Students shall be\n\neligible for such waivers up to the age of twenty-six (26) years or\n\ncompletion of the requirements for a baccalaureate degree, whichever\n\ncomes first; and\n\n2. Resident tuition for enrollment in postsecondary programs of\n\nthe area vocational-technical districts. Students shall be eligible\n\nfor such waivers up to the age of twenty-six (26) years or earn a\n\nprogram certificate, whichever comes first.\n\nB. To be eligible for a waiver of tuition for the first\n\nsemester or other academic unit of postsecondary enrollment, a\n\nstudent shall:\n\n1. Be an individual who, within the past three (3) years, has\n\nbeen in the custody of the Department of Human Services for any nine\n\n(9) of the twenty-four (24) months after the individual’s sixteenth\n\nbirthday and before the individual’s eighteenth birthday;\n\n2. Be a resident of this state;\n\n3. Have graduated within the previous three (3) years from a\n\nhigh school accredited by the State Board of Education, the Oklahoma\n\nSchool of Science and Mathematics, or upon approval of the Oklahoma\n\nState Regents for Higher Education, a public high school in a state\n\nbordering Oklahoma in which the student enrolled with approval of\n\nthe State Board of Education as provided in Section 8-103 of Title\n\n70 of the Oklahoma Statutes or have completed General Educational\n\nDevelopment (GED) requirements;\n\n4. Have satisfied admission standards as determined by the\n\nOklahoma State Regents for Higher Education for first-time-entering\n\nstudents for the appropriate type of institution; and\n\n5. Have secured admission to, and enrolled in, an institution\n\nwhich is a member of The Oklahoma State System of Higher Education\n\nor a postsecondary vocational-technical program offered pursuant to\n\na duly approved cooperative agreement between an area vocational-\n\ntechnical school and an institution of The Oklahoma State System of\n\nHigher Education.\n\nC. To retain eligibility for a waiver of tuition while pursuing\n\nthe program of higher learning in which enrolled, the student shall:\n\n1. Maintain good academic standing and satisfactory academic\n\nprogress according to standards of the Oklahoma State Regents for\n\nHigher Education; and\n\n2. Comply with the standards related to maintenance of\n\neligibility as promulgated by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher\n\nEducation.\n\nD.
