The Oklahoma EPSCoR Advisory Committee shall recommend to\n\nthe Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education EPSCoR research\n\nprojects requiring state matching funds and other research and\n\nsystemic initiatives as requested by the State Regents.\n\nB. The Committee shall have the duty and responsibility to:\n\n1. Promote cooperative research efforts among public and\n\nprivate higher education institutions in this state;\n\n2. Select specific research projects for submission in response\n\nto solicitations by EPSCoR Programs administered by federal\n\nagencies, which include but are not limited to the National Science\n\nFoundation, the Department of Defense, the Environmental Protection\n\nAgency, the Department of Energy, the Department of Commerce, the\n\nNational Aeronautics and Space Administration, the United States\n\nDepartment of Agriculture, and the National Institutes of Health\n\n(NIH), including the NIH IDeA Program for which a limited number of\n\nprojects may be submitted by this state;\n\n3. Appoint the Oklahoma State EPSCoR Director;\n\n4. Aid in the assessment of the total EPSCoR-related\n\njurisdictional research ecosystem present in this state;\n\n5. As needed, provide assistance or guidance in other\n\nactivities that may relate to EPSCoR work in this state;\n\n6. Collaborate with relevant entities to provide input into the\n\ndevelopment of a science and technology plan for this state; and\n\n7.
