Stat. tit. 70, § 70-3302","heading":"Board of Regents of the University of Oklahoma - Body","body":"corporate - Appointment and terms of members - Removal - Vacancies.\n\n(a) The Board of Regents provided for by Section 8, Article\n\nXIII, Oklahoma Constitution, shall constitute a body corporate by\n\nthe name of Regents of the University of Oklahoma and shall be the\n\ngovernment of the University of Oklahoma, Cameron University, and\n\nRogers State University. It shall consist of seven (7) members to\n\nbe appointed by the Governor by and with the advice and consent of\n\nthe Senate. Provided, that persons now serving on such Board shall\n\nbe members of and continue to serve on the Board for the terms for\n\nwhich they were appointed.\n\n(b) Appointments shall be to numbered positions on the Board,\n\nand terms of members of the Board shall be, as follows:\n\n(1) Position No. 1. The term of office of one member shall\n\nexpire on the 21st day of March, 1966, and each seven (7) years\n\nthereafter.\n\n(2) Position No. 2. The term of office of one member shall\n\nexpire on the 21st day of March, 1967, and each seven (7) years\n\nthereafter.\n\n(3) Position No. 3. The term of office of one member shall\n\nexpire on the 21st day of March, 1968, and each seven (7) years\n\nthereafter.\n\n(4) Position No. 4. The term of office of one member shall\n\nexpire on the 21st day of March, 1969, and each seven (7) years\n\nthereafter.\n\n(5) Position No. 5. The term of office of one member shall\n\nexpire on the 21st day of March, 1970, and each seven (7) years\n\nthereafter.\n\n(6) Position No. 6. The term of office of one member shall\n\nexpire on the 21st day of March, 1971, and each seven (7) years\n\nthereafter.\n\n(7) Position No. 7. The term of office of one member shall\n\nexpire on the 21st day of March, 1972, and each seven (7) years\n\nthereafter.\n\n(c) No member of the Board shall be employed upon any work to\n\nbe performed in connection with the University of Oklahoma, Cameron\n\nUniversity, or Rogers State University, nor shall any member of said\n\nBoard enter into any contract or business transaction involving a\n\nfinancial consideration with the University of Oklahoma, Cameron\n\nUniversity, or Rogers State University.\n\n(d) Members of the Board shall be subject to removal from\n\noffice as provided by law for the removal of elective officers not\n\nliable to impeachment.\n\n(e) Vacancies on the Board shall be filled by the Governor, for\n\nthe unexpired term, by and with the advice and consent of the\n\nSenate.","path":["OK Code","Title 70"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os70.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"73b44b9a22960a05b6d39f4f8972fccc335e2768d0ad72b21512c7318598e1ab","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-70-70-3301","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-70-70-3303"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
