The Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training\n\n(CLEET) is authorized to conduct full-time Basic Peace Officer\n\nCertification Academies and other law enforcement related training\n\nfor individuals not commissioned or appointed by a law enforcement\n\nagency under rules established by the Council.\n\n2. CLEET may establish and certify additional law enforcement\n\nand criminal justice programs at state-supported technology center\n\nschools in the State of Oklahoma operating under the State Board of\n\nCareer and Technology Education for teaching students between\n\nsixteen (16) and nineteen (19) years of age. The tuition or fees\n\nfor law enforcement and criminal justice-related programs shall be\n\nsimilar in cost as other vocational and technical education courses\n\nand subjects offered at technology center schools and shall be\n\ndetermined by the State Board of Career and Technology Education.\n\nB. The tuition or fees for attending the Basic Peace Officer\n\nCertification Academies or other law enforcement related training\n\nwill be at a rate established by CLEET and approved by the Council.\n\nTuition or fees charged under this section shall be deposited in the\n\nPeace Officer Revolving Fund established in Section 3311.7 of this\n\ntitle.\n\nC. Individuals not commissioned or appointed by a law\n\nenforcement agency who are trained in the Basic Peace Officer\n\nCertification Academies shall be required to meet minimum\n\nrequirements established for peace officers as set forth in Section\n\n3311 of this title. Any fees relating to meeting these requirements\n\nshall be the responsibility of the individual. Individuals applying\n\nfor the Academies shall be required to submit a fingerprint check to\n\nCLEET prior to acceptance.\n\nD. The Council is authorized to promulgate emergency rules to\n\neffectuate the provisions of this section.\n\nE. Upon successful completion of the Basic Peace Officer\n\nCertification Academy, CLEET certification of the individual shall\n\nbecome effective upon employment by an Oklahoma law enforcement\n\nagency.
