Stat. tit. 70, § 70-3311.18","heading":"CLEET basic peace officer academies and other law","body":"enforcement training – Tuition and fees.\n\nA. The Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training\n\n(CLEET) shall be authorized to conduct basic peace officer\n\ncertification academies and other law-enforcement-related training\n\nfor individuals who are neither commissioned nor appointed by a law\n\nenforcement agency under rules established by CLEET.\n\nB. The tuition or fees for attending the basic peace officer\n\ncertification academy and other law-enforcement-related training\n\nshall be at a rate established and approved by CLEET. The tuition\n\nor fees shall be deposited into the Peace Officer Revolving Fund\n\nestablished in Section 3311.7 of Title 70 of the Oklahoma Statutes.\n\nC. Individuals not commissioned or appointed by a law\n\nenforcement agency who are trained in the basic peace officer\n\ncertification academy shall be required to meet minimum standards\n\nestablished for peace officers as set forth in Section 3311 of Title\n\n70 of the Oklahoma Statutes. Any fees related to meeting the\n\nminimum standards shall be borne by the individual.\n\nD. CLEET is authorized to promulgate rules to effectuate the\n\nprovisions of this section.\n\nE. Upon successful completion of the Basic Peace Officer\n\nCertification Academy, the individual's CLEET certification will\n\nbecome effective upon employment by an Oklahoma law enforcement\n\nagency.
