Stat. tit. 70, § 70-3413","heading":"Experimental stations and projects - Assent to federal","body":"acts.\n\nThe Board of Regents for Oklahoma Agricultural and Mechanical\n\nColleges may operate agricultural experiment stations, and shall\n\nreceive federal funds and comply with federal requirements for such\n\npurposes; and may continue to operate all such experiment stations\n\nin existence when this Code becomes effective. As specifically\n\nprovided herein the State of Oklahoma assents to and accepts the\n\nprovisions of acts of Congress providing funds, services, and\n\nproperty to states for the purpose of establishing or operating such\n\nexperimental stations, and the Board of Regents may enter into\n\nagreements with federal agencies for such purposes.\n\n(a) The agricultural experiment station established in\n\nconnection with the Oklahoma State University of Agriculture and\n\nApplied Science under the Board of Regents for the Oklahoma\n\nAgricultural and Mechanical Colleges shall be operated for the\n\npurpose of conducting experiments in agriculture according to the\n\nterms of the acts of Congress establishing agricultural colleges and\n\nuniversities and experimental stations, and any rules and\n\nregulations promulgated under authority granted in the aforesaid\n\nfederal acts.\n\n(b) The provisions of an Act of Congress, entitled \"An Act to\n\nestablish agricultural experimental stations in connection with the\n\ncolleges established in the several states\" under the provisions of\n\nan Act approved July second, eighteen hundred and sixty-two, chapter\n\n314, and the acts supplementary thereto, approved March second,\n\neighteen hundred and eighty-seven, and as amended by the Act, August\n\n11, 1955, chapter 790, Public Law 84-352, and any other federal\n\nauthorizations providing federal funds to state experiment stations,\n\nare accepted by the State of Oklahoma; and the state hereby agrees\n\nand obligates itself to comply with all the provisions of said acts,\n\nand any rules and regulations promulgated under authority granted in\n\nthe aforesaid federal acts.\n\n(c) The assent of the Legislature of Oklahoma is hereby given,\n\nin pursuance of the requirements of Section Nine of the Act of\n\nCongress, approved March 2, 1887, and amended August 11, 1955, to\n\nthe grants of money therein made, and to the establishing of an\n\nexperimental station, in accordance with Section One of both Acts,\n\nand assent is hereby given to carry out all and singular provisions\n\nof all these Acts of Congress. The Board of Regents for the\n\nOklahoma Agricultural and Mechanical Colleges acting for and on\n\nbehalf of the Oklahoma State University of Agriculture and Applied\n\nScience is hereby authorized and empowered to receive the grants of\n\nmonies appropriated under said Acts for the use and benefit of the\n\nState Experiment Station of the Oklahoma State University of\n\nAgriculture and Applied Science, and to use them in accordance with\n\nthe terms and conditions expressed in the Acts of Congress,\n\naforesaid, and any rules and regulations promulgated under authority\n\ngranted in the aforesaid federal acts.","path":["OK Code","Title 70"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os70.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"9b6b5c5dda3b34e585abd8c99dc60d640478c6b516a5c163b816c20582ead9e2","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-70-70-3412","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-70-70-3414"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
