Stat. tit. 70, § 70-3416","heading":"Langston University experiment station","body":"Langston University, located at Langston, Oklahoma, is hereby\n\nauthorized to devote and use all or any part of suitable farm lands\n\nbelonging to or leased or rented by said institution in the\n\nestablishment of and conducting and carrying on an agricultural\n\nexperiment station for the purpose of conducting experiments in\n\nagriculture. It is further provided that said station shall be\n\nmaintained in cooperation with the Oklahoma State University of\n\nAgriculture and Applied Science of the State of Oklahoma in\n\naccordance with the terms of the Acts of Congress establishing\n\nagricultural colleges or universities and experiment stations.\n\nThe authority herein granted shall be construed to be\n\nsupplemental to and in conformity with Section 403 of this Code and\n\nother applicable statutes under which said Langston University of\n\nthe State of Oklahoma was created and established and to carry into\n\nfull and complete effect the purpose and intent of said statutes. In\n\nrecognition of the designation of Langston University as an\n\nagricultural research institution by federal and state law, and as\n\nan institution offering graduate programs by the Oklahoma State\n\nRegents for Higher Education, it is the intent of the Legislature\n\nthat the State Regents for Higher Education provide the appropriate\n\nfunding to enable Langston University to fulfill its role in\n\nagricultural research as provided for in this section.\n\nThe Board of Regents for the Oklahoma Agricultural and\n\nMechanical Colleges shall name a director of said experiment station\n\nwho shall have charge and supervision thereof, and said Board of\n\nRegents for the Oklahoma Agricultural and Mechanical Colleges shall\n\nprovide rules and regulations for the maintenance and operation of\n\nsaid station. Provided, all of such rules and regulations and the\n\nmanagement of said station shall be in coordination with and\n\npursuant to the plan and requirements of the Board of Regents in its\n\noperation and conduct of agricultural experiments as now conducted\n\nat Oklahoma State University of Agriculture and Applied Science.","path":["OK Code","Title 70"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os70.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"41abbc45b0998193ef3d1dc0565917b87703f9ad39e231da737495b8d777d98f","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-70-70-3415","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-70-70-3417"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
