The facility known as the George Nigh Rehabilitation\n\nInstitute in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, described as follows: a tract of\n\nland in Section 29, Township 14 North, Range 13 East of the Indian\n\nMeridian, Okmulgee County, Oklahoma, more particularly described as\n\n“Commencing at a point of the North Line of said Section a distance\n\nof 926.00 feet east of the Northwest corner of said Section 29,\n\nT14N, R13E, thence S 00 degrees, 09' 00” W a distance of 868.06\n\nfeet, thence N 89 degrees 50' 40.5” W a distance of 376.00 feet,\n\nthence N 00 degrees, 00” E a distance of 300.00 feet, thence N 89\n\ndegrees 50' 40.5” W a distance of 350.00 feet to the easterly right\n\nof way of U.S. 75, thence N 00 degrees, 09' 00” E a distance of\n\n150.45 feet, thence on a curve to the right with a radius of 226.48\n\nfeet a distance of 217.73 feet, thence on a curve to the left with a\n\nradius of 264.63 feet a distance of 254.40 feet, thence N 45\n\ndegrees, 00' 00” E a distance of 21.06 feet, thence S 89 degrees,\n\n50' 40.5” E a distance of 501.11 feet to the point of beginning”,\n\nsaid tract containing 11.0 acres is hereby transferred from the\n\nOklahoma Department of Veterans Affairs to the Oklahoma State\n\nRegents for Higher Education to be administered consistent with such\n\nrules and policies of the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher\n\nEducation and which shall be subject to the provisions of Section 3\n\nof this act. The transfer shall include all real property,\n\nbuildings, furniture, equipment, supplies, records, personnel,\n\nassets, current and future liabilities, fund balances, encumbrances,\n\nobligations, indebtedness, powers, duties and responsibilities\n\nassociated with the George Nigh Rehabilitation Institute.\n\nB. All monies remaining in any funds or accounts in the name of\n\nthe George Nigh Rehabilitation Institute or maintained by the\n\nDepartment of Veterans Affairs for the benefit of the Institute are\n\ntransferred to the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education and\n\nshall be subject to the provisions of Section 3 of this act.\n\nC. It is the intent of the Legislature that all employees of\n\nthe George Nigh Rehabilitation Institute on the effective date of\n\nthis act shall be transferred to the Oklahoma State Regents for\n\nHigher Education with retention of pay and benefits, as much as\n\npossible, including longevity, dependent insurance benefits,\n\nseniority, rights, and other privileges or benefits, which may be\n\nprovided through contractual arrangement with the Oklahoma\n\nDepartment of Veterans Affairs as provided for in Section 3 of this\n\nact.","path":["OK Code","Title 70"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os70.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"dbd6ebcad81039393b2d08050fcf78533cdd387d0e5e316dfcab74193a67d506","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-70-70-3424.1","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-70-70-3426"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
