Stat. tit. 70, § 70-4418","heading":"Board of Regents of Western Oklahoma State College","body":"The State Regents for Higher Education upon said finding of need\n\nand feasibility as provided in Section 4417 of this title are\n\ndirected to negotiate with the Board of the now existing Altus\n\nCommunity College and make all appropriate arrangements for the\n\nconversion of this institution to a state junior college, including\n\nthe continued use of existing facilities, faculty and other\n\nresources for the period of time necessary to achieve the\n\nconversion, and to maintain and operate the college during the\n\ntransition period. After the conversion has been fully accomplished\n\nby the State Regents, a governing board composed of seven (7)\n\nmembers to serve seven-year overlapping terms and to be known as the\n\nBoard of Regents of Western Oklahoma State College shall be created\n\nto be appointed by the Governor by and with the advice and consent\n\nof the Senate, which board shall have the same powers and duties as\n\nthe Board of Regents of Tulsa Community College, set out in Section\n\n4413 of this title.
