Until the effective date of this act, there is hereby\n\ncreated a board of nine (9) trustees to be appointed by the Governor\n\nby and with the consent of the Senate to serve as the administrative\n\nagency for the McCurtain County Higher Education Program. The\n\ninitial nine (9) members shall serve their terms for the period to\n\nwhich originally appointed, in numbered positions having dates of\n\nexpiration identical to the dates of expiration of the original\n\nappointments:\n\nPosition No. 1. The term of office of one member shall expire\n\non the 30th day of June, 1986, and each nine (9) years thereafter;\n\nPosition No. 2. The term of office of one member shall expire\n\non the 30th day of June, 1987, and each nine (9) years thereafter;\n\nPosition No. 3. The term of office of one member shall expire\n\non the 30th day of June, 1988, and each nine (9) years thereafter;\n\nPosition No. 4. The term of office of one member shall expire\n\non the 30th day of June, 1989, and each nine (9) years thereafter;\n\nPosition No. 5. The term of office of one member shall expire\n\non the 30th day of June, 1990, and each nine (9) years thereafter;\n\nPosition No. 6. The term of office of one member shall expire\n\non the 30th day of June, 1991, and each nine (9) years thereafter;\n\nPosition No. 7. The term of office of one member shall expire\n\non the 30th day of June, 1992, and each nine (9) years thereafter;\n\nPosition No. 8. The term of office of one member shall expire\n\non the 30th day of June, 1993, and each nine (9) years thereafter;\n\nPosition No. 9. The term of office of one member shall expire\n\non the 30th day of June, 1994, and each nine (9) years thereafter.\n\nThe board so created shall have the same powers and duties as\n\nmembers of the board of trustees for the University Center of\n\nSouthern Oklahoma. The board shall organize and elect a chair,\n\nvice-chair and secretary annually.\n\nB. Beginning with the effective date of this act the board of\n\ntrustees created by this section shall serve as an advisory board to\n\nthe Board of Regents of Oklahoma Colleges and the President of\n\nSoutheastern Oklahoma State University for the Southeastern Oklahoma\n\nState University branch campus in McCurtain County.
