Stat. tit. 70, § 70-4515","heading":"Public hearing","body":"\n\nPrior to implementing a continuous school program in any school\n\nof the district, the school district's board of education shall\n\nconsult in good faith in an effort to reach agreement with the\n\nemployees of the school, with the parents of pupils who would be\n\naffected by the change, and with the community at large. Such\n\nconsultation shall include at least one public hearing for which the\n\nboard has given adequate notice to the employees and to the parents\n\nof pupils affected.\n\nIn school districts where a continuous school program is\n\nimplemented in fewer than all of the schools maintained by the\n\nschool district, the board of education of such a school district\n\nshall make every reasonable effort to assign employees who prefer\n\nthe regular school schedule to schools of the same level retaining\n\nthe regular school schedule.\n\nThe board of education of any school district operating pursuant\n\nto the provisions of this chapter shall divide the students of each\n\nselected school into as many groups as necessary to adequately\n\naccommodate a continuous school program so established and\n\nconducted.
