Stat. tit. 70, § 70-4516","heading":"School calendar","body":"The board of education of any school district operating pursuant\n\nto the provisions of Section 4511 et seq. of this title shall\n\nestablish a school calendar whereby the teaching sessions and\n\nvacation periods during the school year are on a rotating basis.\n\nEach selected school shall be closed for all students and\n\nemployees on regular school holidays.\n\nThe schools and classes shall be conducted for a total of no\n\nless than one hundred eighty (180) days or no less than one thousand\n\neighty (1,080) hours during the academic year as provided for in\n\nSection 1-109 of this title.\n\nThe provisions of all other laws relating to compulsory full-\n\ntime education and the enrollment and attendance of pupils in the\n\nkindergarten, elementary and secondary grades shall be applicable\n\nwith respect to the regular school days prescribed for the entire\n\nacademic year established for the school at which a program pursuant\n\nto Section 4511 et seq. of this title is conducted, and to the\n\nattendance area established for such school.","path":["OK Code","Title 70"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os70.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"8e861fa675c33e6bc7b0ad059c116840194574bbeee6519a79259fe2205b6806","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-70-70-4515","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-70-70-4517"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
