Stat. tit. 70, § 70-4710","heading":"Technology transfer systems","body":"The Oklahoma Legislature believes that one key to excellence in\n\nhigher education is having an exceptional technology transfer system\n\nin place. This encourages an influx of excellent researchers who\n\nsee the potential for marketing the products of their research.\n\nThis benefits the state in several ways:\n\n1. It allows the students the opportunity to work and study\n\nwith the most brilliant minds in the research field;\n\n2. It allows industries in this state a chance to utilize the\n\ndiscoveries made; and\n\n3. It encourages the growth of new industries.\n\nIt is therefore the intent of the Legislature that the State\n\nRegents for Higher Education encourage individual institutions\n\nwithin The Oklahoma State System of Higher Education to devise and\n\nimplement a plan to improve the technology transfer system within\n\nthis state.
