Stat. tit. 70, § 70-5-110.2","heading":"Records of attendance at continuing education events –","body":"Requirements not completed – Declaration of vacancy.\n\nThe State Board of Education shall maintain records of\n\nattendance by school board members at continuing education events\n\nrequired pursuant to Sections 5-110 and 5-110.1 of this title.\n\nPrior to the final opportunity for each school board member who has\n\nnot completed the continuing education requirements to complete the\n\nsame, the Board shall notify the school board member and the school\n\ndistrict superintendent by mail before March 1 of each year of any\n\nfinal opportunity to complete these requirements and the\n\nconsequences of not completing the requirements. Upon determining\n\nthat a school board member did not complete the continuing education\n\nrequirements of Sections 5-110 or 5-110.1 within the respective\n\nperiod of time, the Board shall immediately notify by certified mail\n\nthe school board member and the school district superintendent and\n\ninform the member of the violation of the continuing education\n\nrequirements. The school board member shall have sixty (60) days\n\nafter the date of receipt of the certified notice to complete the\n\nrequirements.
