Stat. tit. 70, § 70-5-117.1","heading":"Cooperative contracts","body":"The board of education of any school district in this state\n\nwhich is contiguous to any other school district located in an\n\nadjacent state is hereby authorized to enter into contracts with the\n\nboard of education of the school district located in the adjacent\n\nstate for the purpose of providing better educational opportunities\n\nfor students residing in both school districts. Such contracts may\n\nprovide for:\n\n1. The transfer of students between the two school districts;\n\n2. The payment and acceptance of transfer fees for students\n\ntransferred between the two school districts, the amount of which\n\nwill be agreed upon by the boards of education thereof;\n\n3. The use of district-owned school buses to transport students\n\nto and from the schools operated in the school districts; and\n\n4.
