The board of education of any school district may, under\n\nsuch regulations and conditions as it may prescribe, encourage\n\nincreased community involvement in the public schools. These\n\nregulations and conditions may include:\n\n1. Open any school building and permit the use of any property\n\nbelonging to such district for religious, political, literary,\n\ncommunity, cultural, scientific, mechanical, agricultural, or\n\nparental involvement purposes, and other purposes of general public\n\ninterest including the provision of public library services pursuant\n\nto agreements with governing boards or commissions of public\n\nlibraries or library systems;\n\n2. Contract to provide transportation equipment as defined in\n\nSection 9-104 of this title for any purpose specified in paragraph 1\n\nof this subsection; and\n\n3. Make a reasonable charge to cover the cost of the use of\n\nsuch building, property, or transportation equipment.\n\nB. The State Board of Education shall encourage each board of\n\neducation to inquire into and promote the use of its school\n\nbuildings and property for the purposes provided in subsection A of\n\nthis section for such activities both before and after regular\n\nschool hours.\n\nC. Any youth group listed in Title 36 of the United States Code\n\nas a patriotic society shall be allowed the use of any school\n\nbuilding or property to provide services allowing students to\n\nparticipate in activities provided by the groups at times other than\n\ninstructional time during the school day.\n\nD.
