If a public school district in this state chooses to map its\n\ncampus, the school district shall use the school mapping data\n\nguidelines provided for in this section. As used in this section,\n\n“school mapping data” means information provided in an electronic or\n\ndigital format to assist first responders in responding to\n\nemergencies at schools.\n\nB. The school mapping data provided shall:\n\n1. Be compatible with software platforms used by local, county,\n\nstate, and federal public safety agencies that provide emergency\n\nservices to the specific school for which the data is provided\n\nwithout requiring such agencies to purchase additional software or\n\nrequiring a fee to view or access the data;\n\n2. Be compatible with security software platforms in use by the\n\nspecific school for which the data is provided without requiring\n\npublic safety agencies or school districts to purchase additional\n\nsoftware or requiring a fee to view or access the data;\n\n3. Be in a printable format and, if requested in addition to\n\nsubsection A of this section, be in a digital file format that can\n\nbe integrated into interactive mobile platforms in use;\n\n4. Be verified by the entity producing the data for accuracy by\n\na walk-through of school buildings and grounds;\n\n5. Be oriented true north;\n\n6. Be overlaid on current aerial imagery;\n\n7. Contain site-specific labeling that matches the structure of\n\nschool buildings including room labels, hallway names, and external\n\ndoor or stairwell numbers and locations of hazards, critical utility\n\nlocations, key boxes, automated external defibrillators, and trauma\n\nkits;\n\n8. Contain site-specific labeling that matches the school\n\ngrounds including parking areas, athletic fields, surrounding roads,\n\nand neighboring properties; and\n\n9. Be overlaid with gridded “x” and “y” coordinates.\n\nC.
