Stat. tit. 70, § 70-5-187","heading":"Unencumbered balances – Date for submission of all","body":"claims – Notice.\n\nAll unencumbered balances, if any, as shown by the officer\n\ncharged with keeping the appropriation and expenditure records of\n\nthe school district on hand at the close of day June 30, may remain\n\nas a credit for said fiscal year up to the close of day September\n\n30. If a date earlier than September 30 is established, the\n\nencumbrance clerk shall publish, on the district’s web site for two\n\nconsecutive times if also published in a daily newspaper and once if\n\npublished in a weekly newspaper of general circulation in the school\n\ndistrict, notice of the date set by the board of education for the\n\nsubmission of all claims against unencumbered balances of the prior\n\nfiscal year in the following form:\n\nPUBLIC NOTICE\n\nAll having a claim against the ____ Public School District are\n\nnotified that all invoices and required documentation pertaining to\n\nan approved purchase order for services rendered or goods or\n\nmaterials delivered pursuant to that purchase order must be recorded\n\nwith the encumbrance clerk of the district on or before the ____ day\n\nof _____, 20__, covering all debts now unpaid and incurred during\n\nthe period of the prior fiscal year beginning on July 1, 20__, and\n\nending on June 30 20___, or the claim upon which the invoice or\n\npurchase order is based shall be void and forever barred.\n\n__________________________\n\nDistrict Encumbrance Clerk\n\nThis section shall not permit the incurring of new indebtedness\n\nchargeable to the appropriation account of the immediately preceding\n\nfiscal year.","path":["OK Code","Title 70"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os70.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"4f50a62cbe5fecd2c62fdf28aa622f8291bf1980782ffd6cb63eda51c70f604e","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-70-70-5-186","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-70-70-5-188"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
