Stat. tit. 70, § 70-6-101.47","heading":"Hearing","body":"If the employee selects a hearing before the local board of\n\neducation, the hearing shall be conducted at the next, or next\n\nsucceeding, regularly scheduled meeting if the request for the\n\nhearing was received by the local board of education at least ten\n\n(10) days prior to the next, or next succeeding, regularly scheduled\n\nmeeting. Provided, however, at the request of the employee or at\n\nthe discretion of the local board of education, the local board\n\nshall call a special meeting to conduct the requested hearing, which\n\nshall be held no sooner than ten (10) days nor later than thirty\n\n(30) days after receipt of the employee's request.
