Stat. tit. 70, § 70-6-122.4","heading":"License for Teach for America Program participant -","body":"Exemption from residency program.\n\nA. The State Board of Education shall issue a two-year,\n\nnonrenewable license to teach to any person who has been accepted\n\ninto the Teach for America Program and has on file with the Board a\n\ncurrent Oklahoma criminal history record from the Oklahoma State\n\nBureau of Investigation as well as a national criminal history\n\nrecord check as defined in Section 150.9 of Title 74 of the Oklahoma\n\nStatutes. Upon receipt of the Oklahoma criminal history record, the\n\nBoard may issue a temporary license which shall be effective until\n\nreceipt of the national fingerprint-based criminal history record.\n\nThe person applying for a license shall be responsible for the cost\n\nof the criminal history records.\n\nB. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the State Board\n\nof Education shall issue a certificate to teach to any individual\n\nwho has:\n\n1. Been issued a license pursuant to subsection A of this\n\nsection;\n\n2. Completed the coursework requirements established for\n\nparticipants of the Teach for America Program;\n\n3. Successfully passed the assessment requirements established\n\nby Teach for America for participants of the Teach for America\n\nProgram; and\n\n4.
