The State Board of Education shall promulgate rules by which\n\na person who holds a valid Oklahoma Standard Teaching Certificate\n\nmay satisfy requirements for renewal of the Standard Teaching\n\nCertificate by completing staff development programs, conferences\n\nand seminars in lieu of teaching experience or higher education\n\ncredits required by the State Board of Education for certificate\n\nrenewal. Only programs, conferences and seminars recognized for\n\nstaff development credit by an Oklahoma public school district at\n\nthe time the teacher attends the program, conference or seminar may\n\nbe used to fulfill requirements under this section. The State Board\n\nof Education shall not require more staff development credit to be\n\nearned for certificate renewal than the Board requires teachers and\n\nadministrators to earn pursuant to Section 6-158 of Title 70 of the\n\nOklahoma Statutes.\n\nB.
