Stat. tit. 70, § 70-6-193","heading":"Funding for professional development programs","body":"Each school district shall receive an appropriate amount of\n\nfunds for the exclusive purpose of professional development. These\n\nfunds shall be expended for professional development programs within\n\nguidelines adopted by the State Board of Education. All funds\n\nprovided to local school districts shall be provided by and subject\n\nto the approval of plans submitted to the State Board of Education\n\nby each local school district no later than May 10 of each year.\n\nSuch funds shall be deposited in a special account within the\n\ngeneral fund of the local school district.
