Stat. tit. 70, § 70-6-196","heading":"Review of contracts with professional development","body":"centers.\n\nA. The State Board of Education shall review all contracts with\n\nthe professional development centers used for professional\n\ndevelopment purposes prior to entering into any contracts with such\n\ncenters. The State Board of Education shall examine:\n\n1. The purpose of the contract;\n\n2. The expenditure of funds provided for in the previous year\n\nby the state to each center provided for in this section;\n\n3. The budgeted salaries of employees and administrators of\n\nsuch centers; and\n\n4. Any other item the State Board of Education determines is\n\nnecessary.\n\nB. The State Board of Education shall submit an annual report\n\nto the Governor and Legislature by January 1 of each year, which\n\ngives the information specified in subsection A of this section for\n\neach individual center and which includes the following:\n\n1. The purpose of the center;\n\n2. The hours and days of operation of the center throughout the\n\nyear;\n\n3. The number of school districts actually served and the\n\nnumber of actual teachers by school district served;\n\n4. The number and kinds of sponsored professional development\n\nactivities and dates and any related performance evaluations;\n\n5. All sources of funding and actual full-time-employees (FTE);\n\nand\n\n6.
