Stat. tit. 70, § 70-6002","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in the Oklahoma Tuition Trust Act:\n\n1. \"Advance tuition payment contract\" means a contract entered\n\ninto by the Trust and a purchaser to provide for the higher\n\neducation of a qualified beneficiary;\n\n2. \"Regents\" means the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher\n\nEducation;\n\n3. \"Purchaser\" means a person who makes or is obligated to make\n\nadvance tuition payments pursuant to an advance tuition payment\n\ncontract;\n\n4. \"Qualified beneficiary\" means any resident of this state,\n\neligible and entitled to attend a state institution of higher\n\neducation without further in-state tuition payment pursuant to an\n\nadvance tuition payment contract;\n\n5. \"Institution of higher education\" means a state-supported\n\ninstitution of higher education within this state, which is\n\ndesignated by the Regents as an institution of higher education for\n\npurposes of the Oklahoma Tuition Trust Act;\n\n6. \"Trust\" means the Oklahoma Tuition Trust;\n\n7. \"Tuition\" means the general enrollment fees imposed each\n\nsemester upon residents of this state to attend a state institution\n\nof higher education including all mandatory special fees required as\n\na condition of enrollment as determined by the State Regents for\n\nHigher Education;\n\n8. \"Nonresident tuition\" means the semester charges imposed\n\nupon nonresidents of this state to attend a state institution of\n\nhigher education including all general enrollment fees, nonresident\n\ntuition payments and mandatory special fees as determined by the\n\nState Regents for Higher Education; and\n\n9. \"Eligibility period\" means the period of time in which a\n\nqualified beneficiary may exercise the rights granted in an advance\n\npayment contract.","path":["OK Code","Title 70"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os70.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"1ab22e3533739ec1ae2596a5eb8518f6d4a6fbc323a00f3a1f9a69a980339141","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-70-70-6001","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-70-70-6003"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
