There is hereby created the \"Community Match Rural\n\nScholarship Incentive Program\" which shall be conducted and\n\nadministered by the Health Care Workforce Training Commission. The\n\npurpose of this program is to provide for the fair and necessary\n\ndistribution of funds allocated to it by the Legislature to provide\n\nmonies to the following programs under the Health Care Workforce\n\nTraining Commission:\n\n1. The Community Matching Intern/Resident Program;\n\n2. The Oklahoma Rural Medical Education Loan Scholarship\n\nProgram;\n\n3. The Family/General Practice Resident Rural Scholarship Loan\n\nProgram, created pursuant to this section; and\n\n4. The Family/General Practice Residency Grant Program, created\n\npursuant to this section.\n\nThe Health Care Workforce Training Commission is hereby\n\nauthorized to distribute such monies to the funds specified in\n\nSections 625.1, 625.4a and 697.18 of this title necessary to fund\n\nthe programs specified in this section.\n\nB. The Health Care Workforce Training Commission shall\n\nestablish and administer a Family/General Practice Resident Rural\n\nScholarship Loan Program for the purpose of assisting Oklahoma's\n\nrural communities by providing financial assistance through a\n\nscholarship loan forgiveness program to residents enrolled in an\n\naccredited Family Practice or General Practice residency program.\n\nThe Commission shall establish the eligibility standards, the amount\n\nof the loan not to exceed One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) per\n\nmonth, the service obligation of the recipient of the loan, and any\n\npenalties related to the breach of the service contract or failure\n\nto repay such loan plus interest and penalty.\n\nC. The Health Care Workforce Training Commission shall establish\n\nand administer a Family/General Practice Residency Grant Program for\n\nthe purpose of assisting Oklahoma's rural communities by providing\n\nfinancial assistance through a grant program to residents enrolled\n\nin an accredited Family Practice or General Practice residency\n\nprogram. The Commission shall establish the eligibility standards,\n\nthe amount of the grant not to exceed Five Thousand Dollars\n\n($5,000.00) per year, up to three (3) years, the program obligations\n\nof the recipient of the grant, and any penalties related to the\n\nbreach of the grant obligations or failure to repay the grant plus\n\ninterest.","path":["OK Code","Title 70"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os70.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"dbae6a2cb85219315c38b693108be27fb150219832b8a951d1b3a354ecb66bd6","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-70-70-625.12","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-70-70-625.14"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
