The terms and conditions governing the scholarships shall be\n\nas prescribed and formulated by the Health Care Workforce Training\n\nCommission, but shall include the condition that each recipient,\n\nupon completion of the recipient's course of study, shall repay such\n\nscholarship by practicing the recipient's profession in a rural\n\ncommunity in Oklahoma having a population of seven thousand five\n\nhundred (7,500) persons or less according to the last preceding\n\nUnited States Decennial Census and having a need therefor, as\n\ndetermined by the Commission, for one (1) year for each one (1) year\n\nthe scholarship is financed; provided, however, that the recipient\n\nwill be given no credit for payment and reduction of the obligation\n\nby serving in the defined rural communities for a period less than\n\ntwo (2) years.\n\nB. The maximum rural population criteria specified in\n\nsubsection A of this section may be waived by the Commission.\n\nC. The terms of this subsection shall apply to recipients who\n\naccept assistance on or after July 1, 1993. The contract shall\n\nprovide that in the event the recipient breaches the terms of the\n\ncontract by not serving the designated community for the specified\n\nperiod of time, the Commission shall be entitled to recover an\n\namount equal to three times the principal disbursed, pursuant to the\n\ncontract, plus interest. Interest on all amounts paid to or on\n\nbehalf of the participant shall be computed at the current prime\n\nrate plus one percent (1%) with the interest to accrue from the date\n\neach payment is made, pursuant to the contract.
