Money in the \"Student Loan Sinking Fund\" and money in the\n\nStudent Loan Fund in excess of the amount necessary for student\n\nloans may be invested by the Authority in:\n\n1. Direct obligations of or obligations whose principal and\n\ninterest are guaranteed by the United States;\n\n2. Direct obligations of or participation certificates\n\nguaranteed by the federal intermediate credit bank, federal land\n\nbanks, Federal National Mortgage Association, federal home loan\n\nbanks or banks for cooperatives;\n\n3. Certificates of deposit of any bank or trust company whose\n\ndeposits are fully secured by a pledge of securities of any kind\n\nspecified in this subsection; and\n\n4. Bonds of the state or its political subdivisions.\n\nB. Money in the \"Student Loan Sinking Fund\" may be invested\n\nonly in obligations which are scheduled to mature prior to the date\n\nthe money must be available for its intended purpose.\n\nC. All investments under this section may be sold at the\n\nprevailing market price.
