Stat. tit. 70, § 70-697.23","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in the Oklahoma Hospital Residency Training Program Act:\n\n1. \"Eligible hospital\" means a hospital which qualifies for new\n\nresidency training programs under the rules established by the\n\nCenters for Medicare and Medicaid Services or other federal entities\n\nauthorized to establish residency training programs;\n\n2. \"Residency training program\" means post-medical-school\n\ngraduate training programs approved by the Centers for Medicare and\n\nMedicaid Services and accredited by the appropriate governing bodies\n\nof either the osteopathic or allopathic professions in the training\n\ndisciplines of family medicine, general internal medicine, general\n\npediatrics, and obstetrics/gynecology and emergency medicine; and\n\n3. “Medically underserved areas” means areas having too few\n\nprimary care providers, high infant mortality, high poverty, a high\n\nelderly population, and/or a population census of at least fifty\n\npercent (50%) Medicare, Medicaid and uninsured mix.","path":["OK Code","Title 70"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os70.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"fc32ccf96dde97a9a6e61d91184dc5aeb8315f06b819c3ba3f591f704493109e","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-70-70-697.22","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-70-70-697.24"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
