Stat. tit. 70, § 70-697.9","heading":"Community Preceptor Physician Training and Work","body":"Experience Scholarship Fund\n\nThere is hereby created and established the Community Preceptor\n\nPhysician Training and Work Experience Scholarship Fund which fund\n\nshall be administered by the Health Care Workforce Training\n\nCommission for the purpose of providing state matching funds\n\nassistance and encouraging the development of a program whereby the\n\nstate in conjunction with given communities, hospitals or clinical\n\ntraining situations funds the stipends and living expenses for\n\nmedical students who agree to work in these given communities during\n\nthe vacation times during the course of their education in the\n\nUniversity of Oklahoma College of Medicine or the Oklahoma College\n\nof Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery. The Commission shall develop\n\nprocedures for determining the matching funds participation of\n\ncommunities and of the state for a given student and coordinate with\n\nthe physician training institutions in the state for the selection\n\nof students to participate in the program and the selection of\n\nphysicians who will supervise students and hospitals and clinical\n\nsituations in which the training and experience occurs in the\n\ndelivery of primary health care to rural and medically underserved\n\nareas with the purpose of providing medical and osteopathic students\n\nan opportunity to develop relationships with communities and\n\nencourage them to locate their practices in areas of medical need.","path":["OK Code","Title 70"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os70.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"346454822075562bcacbc26f49e1336c934721fa6d656e2ec374c57096e48a6a","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-70-70-697.8","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-70-70-698"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
