Stat. tit. 70, § 70-820.14","heading":"Prohibited conduct","body":"PROHIBITED CONDUCT.\n\nAn athlete agent may not intentionally:\n\n1. Give a student athlete or, if the athlete is a minor, a\n\nparent or guardian of the athlete materially false or misleading\n\ninformation or make a materially false promise or representation\n\nwith the intent to influence the athlete, parent or guardian to\n\nenter into an agency contract;\n\n2. Furnish a thing of value to the athlete or any other\n\nindividual, if to do so may result in the loss of the athlete's\n\neligibility to participate in the athlete's sport, unless:\n\na. the agent notifies the athletic director of the\n\neducational institution at which the athlete is\n\nenrolled or at which the agent has reasonable grounds\n\nto believe the athlete intends to enroll, not later\n\nthan seventy-two (72) hours after giving the thing of\n\nvalue, and\n\nb. the athlete or, if the athlete is a minor, a parent or\n\nguardian of the athlete acknowledges to the agent in a\n\nrecord that receipt of the thing of value may result\n\nin the loss of the athlete's eligibility to\n\nparticipate in the athlete's sport;\n\n3. Initiate contact, directly or indirectly, with a student\n\nathlete or, if the athlete is a minor, a parent or guardian of the\n\nathlete to recruit or solicit the athlete, parent or guardian to\n\nenter an agency contract unless registered under the Revised Uniform\n\nAthlete Agents Act;\n\n4. Fail to create or retain or to permit inspection of the\n\nrecords required by Section 13 of this act;\n\n5. Fail to register when required by Section 4 of this act;\n\n6. Provide materially false or misleading information in an\n\napplication for registration or renewal of registration;\n\n7. Predate or postdate an agency contract;\n\n8. Fail to notify a student athlete or, if the athlete is a\n\nminor, a parent or guardian of the athlete before the athlete,\n\nparent or guardian signs an agency contract for a particular sport\n\nthat the signing may result in the loss of the athlete's eligibility\n\nto participate in the athlete's sport;\n\n9. Encourage another individual to do any of the acts described\n\nin paragraphs 1 through 8 of this section; or\n\n10.
