Stat. tit. 70, § 70-9012","heading":"Modification of millage rate – Submission to voters –","body":"Petition - Limits.\n\nAfter the formation of a higher education funding district\n\nauthorized by this act, the question of modification of an\n\noperational millage rate may be submitted to the voters of the\n\ndistrict by resolution of the board of regents of the institution\n\nwithin The Oklahoma State System of Higher Education for the benefit\n\nof which the district has been created or upon a petition signed by\n\nten percent (10%) or more of the eligible voters residing within the\n\nboundary of a district. No millage rate in excess of that provided\n\nfor in Section 9B of Article X of the Oklahoma Constitution may be\n\napproved and no sinking fund millage rate for repayment of bonds or\n\nother evidence of indebtedness may be modified pursuant to the\n\nprovisions of this section. The question of modification of an\n\noperational millage rate may be submitted at either a General\n\nElection or a special election with notice of the question to be\n\nprovided in advance of the election date in the same manner as\n\nprovided by law for similar questions pursuant to Section 9B of\n\nArticle X of the Oklahoma Constitution or enabling legislation\n\nenacted pursuant to authority of that section.","path":["OK Code","Title 70"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os70.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"fa1d79112468294227c0d2d4db3c90531a593d007c681e56811e822acb963927","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-70-70-9011","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-70-70-9013"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
