A registering entity is not required to offer or to accept a\n\nrequest for security registration in beneficiary form. If a\n\nregistration in beneficiary form is offered by a registering entity,\n\nthe owner requesting registration in beneficiary form assents to the\n\nprotections given to the registering entity by this act.\n\nB. By accepting a request for registration of a security in\n\nbeneficiary form, the registering entity agrees that the\n\nregistration will be implemented on death of the owner as provided\n\nin this act.\n\nC. 1. A registering entity is discharged from all claims to a\n\nsecurity by the estate, creditors, heirs, or devisees of a deceased\n\nowner if it registers a transfer of the security in accordance with\n\nSection 7 of this act and does so in good faith reliance on:\n\na. the registration,\n\nb. this act, and\n\nc. information provided to it by affidavit of the\n\npersonal representative of the deceased owner, or by\n\nthe surviving beneficiary or by the surviving\n\nbeneficiary's representatives, or other information\n\navailable to the registering entity;\n\n2. The protections of this act do not extend to a\n\nreregistration or payment made after a registering entity has\n\nreceived written notice from any claimant to any interest in the\n\nsecurity objecting to implementation of a registration in\n\nbeneficiary form. No other notice or other information available to\n\nthe registering entity affects its right to protection under this\n\nact.\n\nD.
