Stat. tit. 72, § 72-226","heading":"State Veterans Home at Clinton - Establishment – Employees","body":"– Legal description.\n\nThere is hereby established, in addition to the State Veterans\n\nHomes established by Section 221 of Title 72 of the Oklahoma\n\nStatutes, the State Veterans Home at Clinton, Oklahoma, on the site\n\nof the former Western Oklahoma Tuberculosis Sanatorium. All persons\n\nserving as employees of the Western Oklahoma Tuberculosis Sanatorium\n\nunder provisions of the State Merit System of Personnel\n\nAdministration shall continue to serve as employees of the State\n\nVeterans Home at Clinton, provided that such employees shall remain\n\nin the classified service. All employees hired by the State\n\nVeterans Home at Clinton on or after April 1, 1972, shall be under\n\nthe Oklahoma Merit System of Personnel Administration, except one\n\nsuperintendent, one principal assistant or deputy, one private\n\nsecretary, part-time physicians and other professional personnel\n\nengaged in clinical and consultant services. The buildings and\n\nequipment and the following described land of the Western Oklahoma\n\nTuberculosis Sanatorium are hereby transferred to the State Veterans\n\nHome at Clinton:\n\nA strip, piece or parcel of land lying in the NE 1/4 of Section\n\n26, T 12 N, R 17 W, in Custer County, Oklahoma, the parcel of land\n\nbeing described by metes and bounds as follows:\n\nBeginning at the point where the present east right-of-way line\n\nof US Highway 183 intersects the north line of the NE 1/4 a distance\n\nof 2,142.3 feet west of the NE corner of the NE 1/4, thence\n\nsouthwesterly along the right-of-way line along a curve to the right\n\nhaving a radius of 2,914.9 feet a distance of 155.2 feet, thence S\n\n28 degrees 14' W along the right-of-way line a distance of 106.5\n\nfeet, thence S 51 degrees 46' E along the right-of-way line a\n\ndistance of 10.0 feet, thence S 28 degrees 14' W along the right-of-\n\nway line a distance of 279.0 feet, thence S 21 degrees 46' E a\n\ndistance of 180.0 feet, thence S 01 degree 38' E a distance of 608.5\n\nfeet, thence S 83 degrees 54' E a distance of 2,323.6 feet to a\n\npoint on the east line of the NE 1/4, thence north along the east\n\nline of the NE 1/4 to the NE corner of the NE 1/4 a distance of\n\n1,503.5 feet, thence west along the north line of the NE 1/4 a\n\ndistance of 2,142.3 feet to the point of beginning.\n\nContaining 73.09 acres more or less.","path":["OK Code","Title 72"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os72.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"e5ca5564851c76545cd26903a1e85bfb3819d57d1f506e5ae6873c1c3777db1e","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-72-72-225","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-72-72-229"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
