Stat. tit. 72, § 72-23","heading":"Copies of records - Court clerks - Judges of the district","body":"courts - Registrar of vital statistics.\n\nThe court clerks and judges of the district courts of the\n\nseveral counties of this state, and the Registrar of the Bureau of\n\nVital Statistics of this state, when requested so to do by any\n\nmember of the armed forces of the United States, those serving\n\nduring World War II, or by their dependents or by any person in\n\nbehalf of such enlisted members or their dependents, or by any\n\nhonorably discharged person who served in any branch of the military\n\nor naval forces of the United States during any war in which the\n\nUnited States participated as a belligerent, or by the dependents of\n\nsuch honorably discharged persons, or by any person in their behalf,\n\nor by the Commissioner of Pensions of the United States, or by the\n\nDirector of the United States Veterans' Bureau, or Regional Manager\n\nof any Regional office of the United States Veterans' Bureau, shall\n\nfurnish, without charge or fee therefor, duly certified copies of\n\nany decree of divorce, marriage license, certificate of marriage,\n\nbirth certificate, certificate of death, order appointing\n\nadministrator or guardian, letters of administration or\n\nguardianship, bond of administrator or guardian, order discharging\n\nadministrator or guardian, or other judgment, decree or document\n\nrequired by law or by any rule or regulation of the Bureau of\n\nPensions or the United States Veterans' Bureau to be furnished as\n\nevidence to establish a claim on behalf of those persons enumerated\n\nabove, for issuance of a birth certificate, pension, compensation,\n\nfamily allowance, bonus, or other money or moneys claimed to be due\n\nand payable by or through said Bureau of Pensions or United States\n\nVeterans' Bureau.","path":["OK Code","Title 72"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os72.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"d607b71f58db2e5032bff927fd2261a800be21b4423258f800dd24e64405c8cb","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-72-72-229.2","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-72-72-240"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
