Stat. tit. 72, § 72-241","heading":"State Accrediting Agency - Members - Contracts with","body":"federal agencies.\n\nThere is hereby re-created to continue until July 1, 2018, in\n\naccordance with the Oklahoma Sunset Law, the State Accrediting\n\nAgency, which hereafter shall be composed of the State\n\nSuperintendent of Public Instruction, or designee, the State\n\nDirector of the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology\n\nEducation, or designee, the Chancellor of the Oklahoma State Regents\n\nfor Higher Education, or designee, and two honorably discharged war\n\nveterans, who are and shall be appointed by, and hold office at the\n\npleasure of, the Governor. This entity shall be the \"state\n\napproving agency\" referred to in the Veterans' Readjustment\n\nAssistance Act of 1952 (Public Law 550 - 82nd Congress), and shall\n\nhave authority, on behalf of the State of Oklahoma, to enter into\n\nand carry out contracts with the U.S. Department of Veterans\n\nAffairs, Secretary of Veterans Affairs, or any other federal agency,\n\nunder the provisions of the Servicemen's Readjustment Act of 1944\n\n(Public Law 346 - 78th Congress), as amended, and the Veterans'\n\nReadjustment Assistance Act of 1952 (Public Law 550 - 82nd\n\nCongress), and any other federal law, for the approval of courses of\n\non-the-job training, institutional on-farm training, apprentice\n\ntraining, war veterans' educational programs, or any other veterans'\n\ntraining programs authorized by federal law, and for other services\n\nauthorized or required by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs,\n\nSecretary of Veterans Affairs, or other federal agencies, in\n\nconnection with any such training or programs; and all such\n\ncontracts that have heretofore been made or entered into by the\n\nState Accrediting Agency, which agency has been performing functions\n\nherein specified in this state, are hereby validated and approved,\n\nand shall continue in effect according to the terms and provisions\n\nthereof.","path":["OK Code","Title 72"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os72.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"364587d0976c6fd39cba30d683d759ccb1df34b26f207c56cbc28bce23391166","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-72-72-240","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-72-72-242"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
