Oklahoma state agencies are hereby authorized to employ\n\nspecial disabled veterans who are legal residents of the state in\n\ncompetitive and noncompetitive jobs. Such veterans shall be exempt\n\nfrom entrance examinations and hiring procedures administered by the\n\nOffice of Management and Enterprise Services pursuant to Sections\n\n840-4.12 and 840-4.13 of Title 74 of the Oklahoma Statutes.\n\nB. Special disabled veterans hired pursuant to subsection A of\n\nthis section shall be appointed for a probationary period of one (1)\n\nyear, except that the appointing authority may waive in writing the\n\nremainder of the probationary period at any time after a\n\nprobationary employee has served six (6) months; provided, however,\n\nthat the disabled veteran and the Director of the Office of\n\nManagement and Enterprise Services shall be notified in writing as\n\nto such action and the reason therefor. At the end of the\n\nprobationary period and if the work of said veterans is\n\nsatisfactorily performed, the veterans shall acquire permanent\n\nstatus.\n\nC.
