The Oklahoma Department of Veterans Affairs is hereby\n\nauthorized to establish within the Department or within any of the\n\ninstitutions operated by the Department training programs to train\n\nnecessary personnel for the Department or its institutions, or may\n\narrange for programs with any public or private school, entity or\n\ninstitution. Training may occur individually pursuant to the\n\nQuality Workforce for Oklahoma's Heroes Act. Funds of the\n\nDepartment or its institutions may be used to pay salaries or\n\ntuition and subsistence for employees or prospective employees in\n\nthe training programs, pursuant to the provisions of subsection B of\n\nthis section.\n\nB. Any employee or prospective employee who, while receiving\n\nsuch training is paid a salary, or for whom tuition and subsistence\n\nare furnished shall enter into a contract with the Department prior\n\nto receiving any payment for salary, tuition, or subsistence. The\n\ncontract shall be in accordance with the rules and regulations\n\npromulgated by the Oklahoma Veterans Commission and shall include a\n\nstipulation that, unless the employee or prospective employee\n\ncontinues in the employ of the Department for a period of time that\n\nis greater than or equal to the length of the training, the employee\n\nor prospective employee shall reimburse the Department or\n\ninstitution for the amount of money paid to or for him or her by the\n\nDepartment during the training period.","path":["OK Code","Title 72"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os72.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"768a62029c65cb24ed933e875dbddfb4dd09aab25f0e207dca2875b5a829fabf","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-72-72-63.1","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-72-72-63.10a"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
