The Oklahoma Department of Veterans Affairs may grant a\n\npreference, for purposes of the expenditure of funds for tangible or\n\nintangible personal property or services to be acquired by the\n\nagency, to an honorably discharged veteran or to a lawfully\n\nrecognized business entity having a majority ownership of fifty-one\n\npercent (51%) or more of the business that is held by an honorably\n\ndischarged veteran at the time the contract is awarded.\n\nB. No individual veteran or veteran-owned business entity, as\n\ndefined in subsection C of this section, shall be eligible for\n\nconsideration as a veteran vendor pursuant to this section unless\n\nthe individual veteran or veteran-owned business entity has\n\nregistered with the federal System for Award Management (SAM.gov) in\n\nthe same manner as required to do business with the federal\n\ngovernment or has met alternative requirements for qualification or\n\nsubstantiation as established by the Oklahoma Department of Veterans\n\nAffairs.\n\nC. As used in this section, the term \"veteran\" shall be defined\n\nin accordance with Section 2 of Title 72 of the Oklahoma Statutes.\n\nD.
