The Legislature shall have management and control of space\n\non the ground, first, second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth floors\n\nin the State Capitol Building.\n\nB. The space under the management and control of the\n\nLegislature pursuant to the provisions of this section shall be\n\nallotted to the House of Representatives and Senate to be managed\n\nand controlled jointly as follows:\n\n1. The west wing of the basement, excluding existing House of\n\nRepresentatives space, the Senate entrance and the Election Board;\n\n2. The north wing of the basement;\n\n3. The north wing of the first floor;\n\n4. The south wing of the basement, excluding any entrances;\n\n5. The east wing of the basement, excluding existing Senate\n\nspace;\n\n6. The center corridor of the basement;\n\n7. The exterior veranda and the external staircase that\n\nprovides access to the veranda on the west side of the Capitol\n\nBuilding;\n\n8. The center corridor of the first floor, excluding all\n\nexisting current Executive Branch, House of Representatives and\n\nSenate space;\n\n9. The south wing of the first floor, excluding any entrances;\n\n10. The center corridor of the second floor, excluding all\n\nexisting current Executive Branch, House of Representatives and\n\nSenate space;\n\n11. The south wing of the second floor;\n\n12. The center corridor of the third floor, excluding all\n\nexisting current House of Representatives and Senate space;\n\n13. The center corridor of the fourth floor, excluding all\n\nexisting current House of Representatives and Senate space;\n\n14. The center corridor of the fifth floor, excluding all\n\nexisting current House of Representatives and Senate space; and\n\n15. The Dome.\n\nC. The space under the management and control of the\n\nLegislature pursuant to the provisions of this section shall be\n\nallotted to the House of Representatives as follows:\n\n1. The west wing of the basement, excluding the entrance,\n\nshared space with the Senate and the Election Board space;\n\n2. The west wing of the first floor;\n\n3. The east entrance of the east wing of the first floor;\n\n4. The west wing of the second floor, excluding the existing\n\nSupreme Court space;\n\n5. The west side of the north wing of the second floor,\n\nexcluding existing Senate space;\n\n6. The west wing of the third floor;\n\n7. The west side of the north wing of the third floor,\n\nexcluding existing Senate space;\n\n8. The west wing of the fourth floor;\n\n9. The west side of the north wing of the fourth floor;\n\n10. The west side of the south wing of the fourth floor;\n\n11. The west wing of the fifth floor;\n\n12. The west side of the south wing of the fifth floor;\n\n13. The west side of the north wing of the fifth floor,\n\nexcluding existing Senate space; and\n\n14. The west wing of the sixth floor.\n\nD. The space under the management and control of the\n\nLegislature pursuant to the provisions of this section shall be\n\nallotted to the Senate as follows:\n\n1. The east wing of the basement, excluding the shared space\n\nwith the House of Representatives;\n\n2. The west entrance of the west wing of the basement;\n\n3. The north wing of the second floor, excluding existing House\n\nof Representatives space;\n\n4. The east wing of the third floor;\n\n5. The north wing of the third floor, excluding existing House\n\nof Representatives space;\n\n6. The east wing of the fourth floor;\n\n7. The east side of the north wing of the fourth floor;\n\n8. The east side of the south wing of the fourth floor;\n\n9. The east wing of the fifth floor;\n\n10. The north wing of the fifth floor, excluding existing House\n\nof Representatives space;\n\n11. The east side of the south wing of the fifth floor; and\n\n12. The east wing of the sixth floor.\n\nE. The space under the management and control of the\n\nLegislature pursuant to the provisions of this section shall be\n\nallotted to the Executive Branch as follows:\nfth floor, excluding existing House\n\nof Representatives space;\n\n11. The east side of the south wing of the fifth floor; and\n\n12. The east wing of the sixth floor.\n\nE. The space under the management and control of the\n\nLegislature pursuant to the provisions of this section shall be\n\nallotted to the Executive Branch as follows:\n\n1. The east wing of the first floor, excluding the east\n\nentrance; and\n\n2. The east wing of the second floor.\n\nF. Any space not designated in this section shall be under the\n\nmanagement and control of the House of Representatives and the\n\nSenate. Any references to \"existing\" or \"current\" space allocations\n\nin subsection A, B, C, D or E of this section shall be defined\n\npursuant to those certain maps or drawings filed with the Secretary\n\nof State pursuant to the provisions of this section and which were\n\nexecuted November 16, 2016.\n\nG. The authority of the Legislature to allot space may be\n\ndelegated to the President Pro Tempore of the Senate and the Speaker\n\nof the House of Representatives. Any allotment other than as\n\nprovided for in this section shall be executed pursuant to a written\n\nagreement signed by the President Pro Tempore of the Senate and the\n\nSpeaker of the House of Representatives.\n\nH. Each House of the State Legislature shall have the exclusive\n\ncharge of the purchase, use, allotment and disposition of its\n\nrespective chambers, committee rooms, fixtures, furniture, supplies\n\nand apparatus, and shall be responsible for the use and preservation\n\nof same.\n\nI. The provisions of this section shall not prohibit the\n\nLegislature from allowing agencies of the executive or judicial\n\ndepartments to use space within the State Capitol Building that is\n\nunder its management and control pursuant to a written agreement\n\nsigned by the President Pro Tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of\n\nthe House of Representatives.\n\nJ. Upon the effective date of this act, and as necessary upon\n\nthe completion of construction or renovation projects, the Office of\n\nManagement and Enterprise Services shall cause to be created a\n\ncomprehensive set of architectural drawings reflecting the physical\n\nlayout of the Capitol spaces allocated to the Legislature pursuant\n\nto this section. The President Pro Tempore of the Senate and the\n\nSpeaker of the House of Representatives shall review and certify the\n\narchitectural drawings created pursuant to this subsection. The\n\ncertification required by this subsection shall be accomplished by\n\nthe signature of each such officer upon the face of the drawings.\n\nUpon certification, such architectural drawings shall become the\n\nofficial record of the spaces allocated to the Legislature within\n\nthe State Capitol Building. The Secretary of State shall attest the\n\nsignatures required by this subsection and the signed and attested\n\narchitectural drawings shall be deposited with the State Archivist,\n\nas defined in Section 204 of Title 67 of the Oklahoma Statutes. The\n\nState Archivist shall hold the signed and attested architectural\n\ndrawings as an official record of the State of Oklahoma. The Office\n\nof Management and Enterprise Services shall provide two copies of\n\nthe signed and attested architectural drawings to the Secretary of\n\nthe Senate and two copies to the Clerk of the House of\n\nRepresentatives.","path":["OK Code","Title 73"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os73.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"bb6fdb5265eed6d7c5b3bee14ff293be82db2a919a647bc55027ba31920889de","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-73-73-15","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-73-73-15.3"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
