There is hereby authorized the creation of a not-for-profit\n\ncorporation to be known as \"Friends of the Capitol\" to raise funds\n\nand to assist in the preservation and enhancement of the Oklahoma\n\nCapitol and surrounding areas as defined in Section 1 of this title.\n\nB. The board of directors of the corporation authorized in\n\nsubsection A of this section shall choose its own chairperson.\n\nC. After proper incorporation, the not-for-profit corporation\n\nis authorized and directed to apply for tax-exempt status under\n\nSection 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code (26 U.S.C., Section\n\n501(c)(3)).\n\nD. In addition to funds received from the general public or\n\nother public and private sources, the not-for-profit corporation may\n\nreceive funds from state agencies at such times and in such amounts\n\nas may be appropriated by the Legislature for the Oklahoma Capitol\n\nor made available to the corporation from state agencies from their\n\nsources of revenue.\n\nE. Costs to underwrite activities related to the preservation\n\nand enhancement of the Oklahoma Capitol may be borne from revenues\n\nof the not-for-profit corporation.\n\nF. Upon the incorporation, the not-for-profit corporation shall\n\nbe authorized to hire staff and name advisory groups or steering\n\ncommittees as necessary to assist in the preservation and\n\nenhancement of the Oklahoma Capitol.\n\nG.
