Stat. tit. 73, § 73-155","heading":"Sale of bonds to public - Bids - Deposit","body":"In the event said bonds, or some portion thereof, are not sold\n\nto the State Treasurer or other state funds, departments and\n\nagencies as authorized in Section 4 hereof, then the Authority is\n\nauthorized to advertise said bonds, or the unsold portion thereof,\n\nfor sale to other bidders and to sell said bonds, or the unsold\n\nportion thereof, in the manner hereinafter provided. Notice of such\n\nsale shall be published at least thirty (30) days prior to the date\n\nfixed for such sale. Such notice shall be published for at least\n\ntwo (2) consecutive weeks in a newspaper having general circulation\n\nin the State of Oklahoma, and at least once in a financial\n\nperiodical or newspaper known to have general circulation among bond\n\ndealers and bond purchasers. Such notice shall state the time and\n\nplace where and when the Authority will receive written bids for the\n\npurchase of the bonds so offered for sale and shall also state that\n\nthe bonds will be sold to the bidder bidding the lowest interest\n\nrate to the State of Oklahoma, stating also, however, that the\n\nAuthority may, in its discretion, reject all bids submitted and\n\nreadvertise the bonds for sale. Such notice may contain such other\n\nconditions, information and details as the Authority deems\n\nappropriate and desirable to secure understanding of the offer and\n\nto assure maximum competition between bidders. Upon acceptance of\n\nthe low bid, the bonds shall be issued in accordance therewith and\n\nshall be delivered to said purchaser upon payment of the purchase\n\nprice thereof, which shall be not less than par plus accrued\n\ninterest to date of delivery. Provided, however, no tender of the\n\nbonds shall be valid until after the expiration of the period of\n\ncontestability provided for herein. All bidders shall be required\n\nto submit with their bids such good faith deposit as may to the\n\nAuthority seem appropriate. Upon the acceptance of a bid, the\n\nAuthority shall return to all of the unsuccessful bidders the\n\ndeposits so made by them. All such deposits shall be made upon the\n\nagreement that the deposit made by the successful bidder shall\n\nbecome the property of the Authority, and shall be credited upon the\n\npurchase price of the bonds so sold and with the further agreement\n\nthat if the purchaser shall fail for five (5) days after tender of\n\nthe bonds to pay the balance of the purchase price, said sale shall\n\nbe thereby annulled and the deposit shall in such event be retained\n\nby the Authority and credited to the Oklahoma Capitol Improvement\n\nAuthority Fund.","path":["OK Code","Title 73"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os73.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"cc1c533da36f27f8a4c8d55119138c1de5c0492e4a113200e671d1df29b1bc98","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-73-73-153-c","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-73-73-156"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
