Stat. tit. 73, § 73-99.12","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in the Oklahoma Historic Capitols Preservation Act:\n\n1. “Commission” means the Oklahoma Capitol Complex and\n\nCentennial Commemoration Commission;\n\n2. “Fund” means the Oklahoma Historic Capitols Preservation Act\n\nRevolving Fund;\n\n3. “Historic capitol building” means a former state capitol or\n\na former or current Native American capitol that is listed on the\n\nNational Register of Historic Places at the time that an application\n\nfor a grant from the Oklahoma Historic Capitols Preservation Program\n\nis submitted;\n\n4. “Preservation” means identification, evaluation,\n\nrecordation, documentation, curation, acquisition, protection,\n\nmanagement, restoration, rehabilitation, stabilization,\n\nreconstruction, maintenance, research, conservation, education, and\n\ntraining regarding activities or any combination of the foregoing\n\nactivities;\n\n5. “Program” means the Oklahoma Historic Capitols Program;\n\n6. “Rehabilitation” means the act or process of returning a\n\nproperty to a state of utility through repair or alteration which\n\nmakes possible an efficient contemporary use while preserving those\n\nportions or features of a property which are significant to its\n\nhistorical, architectural, and cultural values;\n\n7. “Society” means the Oklahoma Historical Society; and\n\n8. “Standards” means the “Secretary of the Interior’s Standards\n\nfor Rehabilitation” which are the ten basic principles established\n\nby the United States Secretary of the Interior and which are\n\nrecommended in the planning and execution of projects which alter\n\nhistoric buildings.","path":["OK Code","Title 73"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os73.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"a1cb2a94b5c744fe1930a3a97e7791d776f376a8b5ee5e0bee3decc046bad608","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-73-73-99.11","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-73-73-99.13"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
