On July 1, 2020, or on the first day the American Indian\n\nCultural Center and Museum (AICCM) is open to the public, whichever\n\nis sooner, the determination of which shall be made by the Director\n\nof OMES, the authority of the Native American Cultural and\n\nEducational Authority (Authority) to hold, use and dispose of real\n\nproperty and improvements thereon shall be terminated, and title to\n\nthe following generally described real property and rights to\n\nimprovements thereon shall transfer to the American Indian Cultural\n\nCenter and Museum Trust Authority (AICCMTA):\n\n1. A tract of land being a part of the East Half of Section 2,\n\nTownship 11 North, Range 3 West of the Indian Meridian, Oklahoma\n\nCounty, Oklahoma, and being more particularly described as follows:\n\nCommencing at the Northeast Corner of said Section 2,\n\nThence South 00°29'24\" West along the East line of said Section\n\n2, a distance of 1958.26 feet,\n\nThence North 89°30'36\" West, a distance of 1240.19 feet to the\n\nPOINT OF BEGINNING,\n\nThence South 23°33'16\" West a distance of 93.48 feet,\n\nThence on a nontangent curve to the right, having a radius of\n\n340.91 feet, a chord bearing of South 38°38'40\" East, a chord\n\ndistance of 187.41 feet, for an arc distance of 189.86 feet to a\n\npoint of tangency,\n\nThence South 22°41'33\" East, a distance of 102.54 feet,\n\nThence on a nontangent curve to the right, having a radius of\n\n859.19 feet, a chord bearing of South 19°48'33\" West, a chord\n\ndistance of 546.60 feet, for an arc distance of 556.26 feet,\n\nThence South 00°00'00\" East, a distance of 169.81 feet,\n\nThence North 90°00'00\" West, a distance of 258.96 feet,\n\nThence North 44°58'52\" West, a distance of 208.81 feet,\n\nThence South 83°35'02\" West, a distance of 229.85 feet to a\n\npoint of curvature,\n\nThence on a curve to the right, having a radius of 602.79 feet,\n\nchord bearing of North 11°33'34\" East, a chord distance of\n\n1146.73 feet, for an arc distance of 2271.94 feet to a point of\n\ntangency,\n\nThence South 60°27'53\" East, a distance of 374.31 feet,\n\nThence South 70°57'26\" East, a distance of 153.94 feet to the\n\nPOINT OF BEGINNING.\n\nSaid tract of land contains 33.62 acres, more or less; and\n\n2. The basis of bearing of the description provided in this\n\nsection is derived from the Oklahoma State Plane Coordinate System\n\nNAD83, Zone Oklahoma North with the East line of NE/4 of Section 2-\n\n11N-3W having a bearing of South 00°29'26\" West.\n\nB. The legal description provided in subsection A of this\n\nsection is intended to include the real property upon which the\n\nmuseum and cultural center improvements exist, including the\n\nfollowing specific elements:\n\n1. Hall of the People;\n\n2. East Wing, including the Performance Facility;\n\n3. North Gallery;\n\n4. South Gallery;\n\n5. Central Plant;\n\n6. Promontory Mound; and\n\n7. Visitor Center.\n\nC. The instrument of conveyance as contemplated by subsection A\n\nof this section shall reflect a legal description determined by a\n\ncurrent survey which ensures that the elements described in\n\nsubsection B of this section are included, and shall further reflect\n\na separate legal description for the sewer lift station.\n\nD. The Office of Management and Enterprise Services (OMES), the\n\nAICCMTA and, for so long as the Authority exists, the Authority are\n\nhereby authorized and directed to grant such access and other\n\ntemporary and permanent easements upon and across the real property\n\ndescribed in this section as are necessary or desirable to promote\n\nor ensure the successful development of the commercial property\n\ntransferred to the City of Oklahoma City (City) pursuant to\n\nparagraph 2 of subsection B of Section 1226.2 of Title 74 of the\n\nOklahoma Statutes, and in connection therewith the Legislature finds\n\nand hereby declares that the commitments entered into by the City as\n\ncontemplated by paragraph 5 of subsection B of Section 1226.2 of\nte\n\nor ensure the successful development of the commercial property\n\ntransferred to the City of Oklahoma City (City) pursuant to\n\nparagraph 2 of subsection B of Section 1226.2 of Title 74 of the\n\nOklahoma Statutes, and in connection therewith the Legislature finds\n\nand hereby declares that the commitments entered into by the City as\n\ncontemplated by paragraph 5 of subsection B of Section 1226.2 of\n\nTitle 74 of the Oklahoma Statutes shall be adequate consideration.\n\nE. The AICCMTA and the Director of OMES are hereby authorized\n\nand directed to take all steps necessary to effectuate the\n\nprovisions of this act.\n\nF. Real property transferred to AICCMTA by the Authority shall\n\nbe subject to the same restrictions regarding the use of such real\n\nproperty as contained in the instrument of conveyance by which the\n\nAuthority acquired title to such real property, including, but not\n\nlimited to, any restriction regarding gambling activity upon such\n\nreal property.","path":["OK Code","Title 74"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os74.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"d82a42a6e4cd39d2d3a85cd98cec2de5ad01bd73968ec09041e0c925ed13a10e","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-74-74-1226.17","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-74-74-1226.19"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
