Stat. tit. 74, § 74-130.2","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in the Oklahoma Alternative Fuels Conversion Act:\n\n1. \"Alternative fuels\" means natural gas and liquid fuels\n\nproduced from natural gas, liquefied petroleum gas, ethanol,\n\nmethanol, electricity, biodiesel, coal-derived liquid fuels,\n\nhydrogen and fuels derived from biological materials;\n\n2. \"Charge station\" means the physical device that provides a\n\nconnection from a power source to an electric vehicle;\n\n3. \"Conversion kit\" means the equipment installed to modify a\n\nmotor vehicle which is propelled by gasoline or diesel fuel so that\n\nthe vehicle may be propelled by an alternative fuel;\n\n4. \"Diesel fuel\" means diesel engine fuel, and all other\n\nliquids suitable for the generation of power for the propulsion of\n\nmotor vehicles except gasoline;\n\n5. \"Fill station\" means the equipment and conveyance property\n\nthat provides the delivery and, if required, compression of an\n\nalternative fuel other than electricity;\n\n6. \"Gallon\" means the quantity of fluid or liquid at a\n\ntemperature of sixty degrees (60°) Fahrenheit necessary to\n\ncompletely fill a United States standard gallon liquid measure;\n\n7. \"Gasoline\" means the same as motor fuel and means every\n\nliquid petroleum product, or any combination thereof, other than\n\nsolvents as herein defined, having an A.P.I. gravity of forty-six\n\ndegrees (46°) or above at a temperature of sixty degrees (60°)\n\nFahrenheit and at atmospheric pressure, and includes drip,\n\ncasinghead or natural gasoline. The term gasoline also includes any\n\nliquid of less than forty-six degrees (46°) A.P.I. gravity at a\n\ntemperature of sixty degrees (60°) Fahrenheit compounded, blended,\n\nmanufactured or otherwise produced by mixing or blending gasoline or\n\nsolvents with any blending materials, as hereinafter defined, when\n\nthe blended product can be used for generating power in internal\n\ncombustion engines, regardless of how such liquid is made,\n\ncompounded, manufactured or recovered and regardless of the name by\n\nwhich such liquid may be known or sold;\n\n8. \"Government vehicle\" means all motor vehicles, including,\n\nbut not limited to, transit vehicles operated by any entity pursuant\n\nto Section 4031 et seq. of Title 69 of the Oklahoma Statutes or\n\ndesignated as public transit by the Department of Transportation,\n\nbuses, trucks, law enforcement vehicles and emergency vehicles,\n\nowned and operated by the State of Oklahoma, any public trust\n\nauthority, county, municipality, town or city within this state;\n\n9. \"Sale\" means sales, barters, exchanges, and every other\n\nmanner, method, and form of transferring the ownership of personal\n\nproperty from one person to another, and also includes the use or\n\nconsumption in this state in the first instance of gasoline received\n\nfrom without the state or of any other gasoline upon which the\n\nsurcharge has not been paid;\n\n10. \"School vehicle\" means all buses and multi-passenger motor\n\nvehicles owned and approved to operate by the State Department of\n\nEducation or any school district within this state; and\n\n11. \"Solvents\" means especially prepared commercial and\n\nindustrial solvents, cleaners' and painters' naphthas, and raw\n\npetroleum materials or petrochemical intermediates when used as or\n\nsold for use in production or manufacture of plastics, detergents,\n\nsynthetic rubber, herbicides, insecticides and other chemicals or\n\nproducts which are not prepared, advertised, offered for sale, or\n\nsold for use or suitable for use as fuel for generating power in\n\ninternal combustion engines.","path":["OK Code","Title 74"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os74.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"586af01ca8732ba9deec0a391e0096a819bfba7fe83579feb13d3a64c4951ad0","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-74-74-130.19","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-74-74-130.20"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
