Stat. tit. 74, § 74-1302","heading":"Purpose","body":"It is hereby declared that the purpose of this act is:\n\n(a) To provide uniformity in Accident and Health Insurance\n\nand/or Benefits Coverage and Life Insurance on all employees of the\n\nState of Oklahoma;\n\n(b) To enable the state to attract and retain qualified\n\nemployees by providing health, dental and life insurance benefits\n\nsimilar to those commonly provided in private industry;\n\n(c) To recognize and protect the state's investment in each\n\npermanent employee by promoting and preserving good health and\n\nlongevity among state employees;\n\n(d) To recognize the service to the state by elected and\n\nappointed officials by extending to them the same health, dental and\n\nlife insurance benefits as are provided herein for state employees;\n\n(e) To recognize long and faithful service, and to encourage\n\nemployees to remain in state service until eligible for retirement\n\nby providing health, dental and life insurance benefits for\n\nemployees; and\n\n(f) To ensure state compliance with the Health Maintenance\n\nOrganization Act of 1973 pursuant to 42 U.S.C., Section 300e et seq.","path":["OK Code","Title 74"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os74.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"10a00c8442c8bdc8fe817437e932d3df1b7032155a15780284016bdb45ea4e1f","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-74-74-1301","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-74-74-1303"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
