Any eligible employee may elect to have a dependent or\n\ndependents of the employee covered by the health insurance plan and\n\ndental insurance plan or by any available health maintenance\n\norganization (HMO) approved by the Oklahoma Health Care Authority.\n\nThe employee may elect to cover all dependent children and not elect\n\nto cover the spouse of the employee. Such election shall be made at\n\nthe time the employee becomes enrolled in the Plan, under such\n\nprocedures as the Authority may establish. If dependent coverage is\n\nnot elected or if the employee elects to cover all dependent\n\nchildren and not the spouse of the employee at the time an employee\n\nbecomes enrolled in the Plan, dependent coverage or coverage for the\n\nspouse cannot be elected until the next enrollment period or until a\n\nqualifying event has occurred as established by the Authority. Such\n\nsubsequent election of dependent coverage shall be made under such\n\nconditions as the Authority may impose. If electing not to cover\n\nthe spouse, the employee shall submit a statement signed by both the\n\nemployee and the spouse acknowledging their choice not to provide\n\ninsurance coverage for the spouse under the health insurance plan\n\nand dental insurance plan or approved HMO plans.\n\nB. Any employee with dependent coverage, as provided in this\n\nsection, who has a change in the number of dependents may at the\n\ntime of such change increase or decrease the number of dependents\n\ncovered by the health insurance plan and dental insurance plan or\n\napproved HMO plans, under procedures established by the Authority.\n\nC.
