Stat. tit. 74, § 74-1342","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in the State Employees Flexible Benefits Act, Section\n\n1341 et seq. of this title:\n\n1. \"Board\" means the State and Education Employees Group\n\nInsurance Board;\n\n2. \"Flexible benefits plan\" means a written plan providing\n\nbenefits to eligible employees which meets the requirements of Title\n\n26, Section 125 et seq. of the Internal Revenue Code of the United\n\nStates and regulations promulgated thereunder;\n\n3. \"Employee\" means any person eligible to participate in the\n\nState and Education Employees Group Insurance Act, Section 1301 et\n\nseq. of this title, or an employee of the Oklahoma Employment\n\nSecurity Commission. \"Employee\" shall not include a person who is\n\nan employee of the State Regents for Higher Education or any\n\ninstitution under the authority of the State Regents for Higher\n\nEducation or any person who is an employee of any school district or\n\npolitical subdivision of this state, except as provided for in\n\nSection 1348 of this title;\n\n4. \"Employer\" means any state agency, board, commission,\n\ndepartment, institution, authority, officer, bureau, council, office\n\nor other entity created by the Oklahoma Constitution or statutes,\n\nbut shall not include any school district, or political subdivision\n\nof the state, except as provided for in Section 1348 of this title.\n\nProvided the term \"employer\" shall also mean the State Regents for\n\nHigher Education or any institution under the authority of the State\n\nRegents for Higher Education upon agreement between the State\n\nRegents for Higher Education or the appropriate governing board of\n\nan institution under the authority of the State Regents for Higher\n\nEducation and the Council; and\n\n5. \"Salary adjustment agreement\" means a written agreement\n\nbetween an eligible employee and an employer whereby the employer\n\nagrees to adjust the salary of the employee by a stated amount or an\n\namount equal to the cost of benefits selected under a flexible\n\nbenefits plan and the employer agrees to contribute such amount to\n\ncover certain costs of the benefits selected by the eligible\n\nemployee.","path":["OK Code","Title 74"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os74.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"fd1064087778a3a3d6ba7bfd8d75448aa82b3099c8d3bbfc792080fd8a59c659","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-74-74-1341","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-74-74-1343"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
