The Director of the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation\n\nshall, pursuant to Section 150.2 of this title, have the authority\n\nto investigate, detect, institute, and maintain actions involving\n\nvehicle theft.\n\nB. Any commissioned employee of the Oklahoma State Bureau of\n\nInvestigation may:\n\n1. Conduct investigations of organized motor vehicle or heavy\n\nequipment theft rings;\n\n2. Determine sources and outlets for stolen motor vehicles,\n\nmotor vehicle parts or heavy equipment;\n\n3. Investigate any theft of a motor vehicle, motor vehicle\n\nparts or heavy equipment for which the Agency receives notice;\n\n4. Arrest or cause the arrest of any person when reasonable\n\ngrounds exist to believe that such person has stolen a motor\n\nvehicle, motor vehicle parts or heavy equipment;\n\n5. Coordinate the effort of this state to reduce motor vehicle\n\ntheft with local, state and federal law enforcement agencies; or\n\n6.
