Stat. tit. 74, § 74-150.8","heading":"Appointment of employees - Powers of peace officers -","body":"Probationary period - Classified service - Rights under additional\n\npension systems.\n\nA. The Director shall appoint as employees only persons of\n\noutstanding honesty, integrity and ability. An agent, at the time\n\nof appointment to the Bureau, shall be at least twenty-one (21)\n\nyears of age and shall possess a bachelor's degree from an\n\naccredited college or university.\n\nB. The officers and agents of the Oklahoma State Bureau of\n\nInvestigation, and such other employees as the Director of the\n\nBureau of Investigation shall designate to perform duties in the\n\ninvestigation and prevention of crime and the enforcement of the\n\ncriminal laws of the state, shall have and exercise all the powers\n\nand authority of peace officers, including the right and power of\n\nsearch and seizure.\n\nC. Any Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation employee\n\npromoted, voluntarily demoted or transferred into an agent or\n\ncriminalist position within the Bureau shall serve a twelve-month\n\ntrial period. Any state employee in a classified position with an\n\nagency other than the Bureau who is selected for an agent or\n\ncriminalist position within the Bureau shall resign his or her\n\nposition and be reinstated in accordance with the merit rules.\n\nD. Any employee in a classified position under the Merit System\n\nof Personnel Administration who is appointed Director, Deputy\n\nDirector, Acting Director, Acting Deputy Director, or Assistant\n\nDirector shall have a right to return to the classified service\n\nwithout any loss of rights, privileges or benefits immediately upon\n\ncompletion of the duties of the employee provided the employee is\n\nnot otherwise disqualified.\n\nE. All other employees of the State Bureau of Investigation\n\nshall be in the classified service of the state and members of the\n\nMerit System of Personnel Administration, unless otherwise provided\n\nby law.\n\nF.
