The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is authorized to\n\nestablish an employee performance recognition program that\n\nencourages outstanding job performance and productivity within the\n\nBureau. The Bureau is authorized to expend funds for:\n\n1. The purchase of recognition awards to be presented to\n\nmembers of work units or individual employees having exceptional job\n\nperformance records or other significant contributions to the\n\noperation of the Bureau;\n\n2. The purchase of recognition awards to be presented to\n\nnonemployees of the Bureau in recognition of exemplary service or\n\nassistance to the Bureau and law enforcement; and\n\n3. A formal ceremony or banquet where the awards may be\n\npresented.\n\nB. Recognition awards may consist of distinctive wearing\n\napparel, service pins, plaques, writing pens, or other distinguished\n\nawards of a value not exceeding One Hundred Fifty Dollars ($150.00)\n\nper award to recognize the achievement of the work unit or\n\nindividual employee. In addition to recognition awards, the Bureau\n\nmay establish an employee benefit program not exceeding Five\n\nThousand Dollars ($5,000.00) each fiscal year for cash awards to\n\nrecognize outstanding performance in the workplace by Bureau\n\nemployees.\n\nC. The Bureau may expend funds not exceeding Three Thousand\n\nDollars ($3,000.00) each fiscal year for the purpose of distributing\n\ncommemorative items including, but not limited to, pens, patches,\n\nand notebook portfolios bearing the seal or other identification of\n\nthe Bureau to nonemployees of the Bureau.
